Hi
my name is Janice Clancy from Ireland and I would like
to share 2 success stories with you. First one:- My
Mum suffered from arthritis in her neck from an old
injury and with ageing the pain got worst and limited
her doing things she did before like hoovering etc. So

Hi,
my name is Annie. In 2004 I fell & due to advanced
osteoporosis, my hip disintegrated. They replaced the
hip and put me on Actonel. However, it disagreed with

When
I went in for a 6 month checkup, the dr. was surprised

I
had previous success with heel
spurs, and now I am so
happy! I can not feel them anymore. They were so
painful, and I had an infant to take care for. I am so
very glad that I did not go for surgery! I am still
doing well, and I took the product for only a month.
Results were felt in just two weeks, after having my
second child and having previous knee surgery, I am
thinking about ordering more. I would only require to
take the minimum dosage to maintain strong bone and
joint health. That's a small price to pay in the long
run. I want to be healthy and active with my family,
and in the future with my grandchildren. That's what

Research Digest: Vitamin B Is Important For Diabetic
Patients
People
with diabetes have an increased risk of heart disease,
eye damage and other health problems because they are
deficient in vitamin B1, results of a UK study
suggest.
Vitamin
B1, which is found in foods such as nuts, cereal
grains, meat and spinach, is essential for normal
growth and development, and helps ensure that the
body's cardiovascular, nervous and digestive systems
function properly.
Now,
for the first time, Professor Paul Thornalley, from
the University of Warwick, and colleagues have shown
that the increased risk of health problems faced by
people with diabetes may be caused by a deficiency of
vitamin B1.
In
a study of 94 volunteers with and without diabetes,
the team found that patients with Type 1 or Type 2
diabetes had blood levels of vitamin B1 that were
around 75% lower than those in participants without
the condition.
The
researchers also discovered that vitamin B1 deficiency
in diabetic patients was not due to diet, but to the
increased rate at which the vitamin was removed from
the blood and into the urine.
The
researchers say that previous research has failed to
identify vitamin B1 deficiency in diabetic patients
because of the indirect way in which blood levels of
this vitamin were measured.
Although
further research is needed to confirm the findings,
Professor Thornalley and team suggest that vitamin B1
supplements may help diabetic patients top up their
levels of this essential nutrient, therefore reducing
their risk of heart disease and other health problems.
Commenting
on the findings, Matt Hunt, science information
manager at the charity Diabetes UK, which helped fund
the research, said: "[This] study could
potentially have very exciting outcomes.
"The
reasons behind why the body removes such a staggering
amount of vitamin B1 in people with diabetes... need
to be investigated to see if it's a problem that can
be tackled."
But
he added: "We should note that the vitamin
supplement research is still at trial stage. We would
not advise that people look to vitamin supplements to
reduce their risk of complications at this stage.
"Eating
a healthy balanced diet, taking regular physical
activity and managing blood glucose levels are key to
good diabetes management."
