Dear Elixir,

I've never given testimonials for anything anyone. But I owe this one to Mr. Roger, the medical staff whom I talked to several times before I made up my mind to get on Marvlix.

I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in 2013. Over the years, my GFR went down from 60ish to 18 in October 2020.

I was scared but I didn't do much at the beginning. I've never trusted doctors. I always thought they were exaggerating my conditions.

I took the drugs my doctor prescribed anyway but I was hoping it would be a temporary thing and eventually my body would take care of itself. At 73 I went to gym every day. People told me I looked 50 something.

Things got worse though. My number's kept declining. Obviously the drugs didn't do nothing as I expected.

I started to have swollen feet and ankles. I was always thirsty. Tried not to but drank way too much liquid anyway. And yeah can't get rid of that nasty metal taste in my mouth.

I had short breath and had to quit workout. I was depressed and often got angry over trivial argument.

By then I knew I had to do something. I'm still young I don't want to give up. I want no dialysis. I started searching for alternatives online. I was superintendent at a local school district so I know how to tell good people from bad people. And yes that's important because, good people make good products!

I spent weeks online and narrowed my search down to just a few products. I then called and called and called. I admit I could be rude some time. Many people got mad and hung up on me.

I settled on Marvlix thanks to Mr. Roger. He's very knowledgeable and extremely patient. Mr. Roger did his job. He's a good man!

I purchased Marvlix in December 2020 and here we are in July 2021, my GFR went up from 18 to 43. Isn't that amazing!

I'm a much happier person. Breathing is now effortless. I plan to go back to the gym once the Pandemic is over.

Treatment with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors may be associated with a reduced risk for developing COVID-19 among people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or seronegative spondyloarthritis (SpA), researchers report.

Mansour Salesi (Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran) and colleagues’ study involved 254 participants aged an average of approximately 50 years who took part in structured interviews on COVID-19 infection between June and December 2020. A total of 45% had been receiving treatment with a TNF inhibitor for at least 3 months during the pandemic.

As reported in Rheumatology and Therapy, 5% of the 115 individuals taking TNF inhibitors developed COVID-19, compared with 27% of the 139 not taking these agents. Logistic regression modeling demonstrated that use of adalimumab, infliximab, or etanercept was associated with a significantly reduced risk for COVID-19, with odds ratios of 0.03, 0.05, and 0.20, respectively.

Salesi and team caution that their study had a number of limitations, including low COVID-19 incidence in people with autoimmune disease due to preventive behavior, and they note that it was not possible to determine whether concomitant treatment with other DMARDs influenced the association between TNF inhibitor use and COVID-19.

Nonetheless, they conclude that TNF inhibitors may have a “prophylactic role in preventing COVID-19” in people with RA and SpA.
