Letter I: From Linda

Received at Testimonial Submit Form on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 12:35:16

(Unedited)

Hi, my name is Linda. I am 64 years old; very healthy and exercise (Pilates, strength training, Nautilas) three times a week for 2 hours; which I have been doing since I was 30.

In the last few years, my lower back would always end up hurting the next day. After getting it x-rayed by my chiropractor; I found out I had bone spurs on my spine and my back was a mess.

I started taking EZORB in May 2008 and within the first week; I noticed I didn't have any back pain. This summer, I would also work out in my yard all afternoon (mowing, digging, flower gardening; etc.) and the back pain I used to get, is gone.

I have been telling anyone who complains about back and other pain problems about EZORB and how wonderful it is; and will continue to. This product is amazing.

Letter II: From L. Stem

I received my bottle of EZORB about 10 days ago. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. I can already feel the relief from pain after taking EZORB.

I took the bottle to my doctor, and she said that she was glad that I am getting the calcium that I need, and that the benefits of relieved pain will perhaps help my Diabetes and Heart Disease.

I am very pleased with the results that I have already gotten. Thank you.

Letter III: From Jan Q

Received at Testimonial Submit Form on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 21:05:04

(Unedited)

Hi, my name is Jan Q. I began having pain in my heel around March 2008. I figured it was a heel spur, as I remember what a friend went through. She had to have the spur surgically removed.

Since I didn't want that, I remembered reading that Ezorb could help. I began taking the eight capsules a day, and I am pain free.

At this point, I have not been able to reduce the amount, because it tends to flare up a little if I do. Obviously, the Ezorb is working. I hope to be able to reduce the amount soon, and eventually be entirely rid of the spur. Thanks for a great product.

2. Research News: Eating One or More Eggs a Day Linked to Type II Diabetes

Daily consumption of at least one egg or more is associated with an increased risk for Type 2 diabetes, researchers report in the journal Diabetes Care.

The link was found in a prospective study of over 20,000 men and 36,000 women, and was independent of established risk factors as well as potential dietary confounders and a history of hypercholesterolemia.

The median egg consumption among study participants was much lower than this at one egg per week for both men and women, and if the findings are borne out in further studies, dietary advice to reduce egg consumption would be targeted at individuals who consume one or more eggs per day, the authors point out.

"Before the current study, limited and inconsistent data (mainly from animal models) have been reported in the literature on the effects of eggs or dietary cholesterol on glucose metabolism," explain Luc Djousse (Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA) and colleagues.

The team followed-up 20,703 men participating in the Physicians' Health Study 1 for a mean of 20.0 years, and 36,295 women from the Women's Health Study for 11.7 years. At baseline participants reported their consumption of eggs and other foods over the past year. The incidence of Type II diabetes was also determined by participant self-report, in annual follow-up questionnaires.

Compared with people who did not report eating eggs, intake of seven or more eggs per week was associated with a 58% increased risk for Type 2 diabetes in men and a 77% increased for Type 2 diabetes in women. This was after adjusting for potential confounders including: established cardiovascular risk factors; exercise level; energy, red meat, and fruits and vegetables intake; family history of diabetes; and history of hypercholesterolemia and hypertension.

Further analysis updating egg consumption during follow-up, conducted in men only, showed a stronger association, with hazard ratios for Type 2 diabetes of 1.10, 1.31, 1.40, 1.77, and 1.99 for consumption of one, two-to-four, five-to-six, and seven or more eggs per week, compared with less than one egg a week.

"Given the societal burden of Type 2 diabetes, confirmation of these findings in other populations and exploration of possible underlying biological mechanisms are warranted," Djousse and team conclude.

Original research was published in Diabetes Care 2009; 32: 295-300.
