**********************************************

"I am a 36-year-old woman, and I first found out about EZorb when I was surfing the net about heel spurs.

I have been seeing a podiatrist for a year and receiving cortisone shots about every 6 months to help relieve the pain in my right foot. I have heel spurs in both of my feet, and only recently my left foot has begun to hurt slightly. The pain in my right foot has been ongoing for about a year and a half now and not getting any better.

I've had three cortisone shots. The 1st two shots subdued the pain for about 6 months. The 3rd shot did nothing and that's when I started searching the Internet about heel spurs because I was getting desperate. Limping and walking with pain is no fun, especially in the morning.

I read the success stories on the EZorb website and thought I'd give it a try. What do I have to lose?

I have been taking between 9-12 capsules a day for about 4 weeks, and finally the pain has almost subsided completely. I am going to lower my dose by next month. But I can't believe it! It's a miracle!!!. Thanks to you EZorb!!!

I have started to recommend this product to all my friends and family members. Thank you so much!!"

2. Research Digest: Protein Injection May Speed Fracture Healing

Fracture patients may, in the future, be given bone morphogenetic protein to hasten their healing, early research published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery suggests.

"These data demonstrate that a single, local, percutaneous injection of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) accelerates fracture repair in this rat femoral fracture model," Thomas Einhorn (Boston University Medical Center) and coworkers report.

The team randomly assigned 144 male Sprague-Dawley rats with intramedullary pinned mid-diaphyseal femoral fractures to receive an injection of rhBMP-2, placebo, or no injection 6 hours after surgery.

Femur bones for 12 rats in each group were harvested for torsional biomechanical testing at weekly intervals. At 2, 3, and 4 weeks, femurs from rats given rhBMP-2 were twice as stiff as those from controls. In particular, rhBMP-2-treated femurs were 34% stronger than placebo-treated bones at 3 weeks, and 60% and 77% strong stronger than placebo-treated and no-treatment bones at 4 weeks, respectively.

In addition, large areas of bone formation spanning the fracture were found in rhBMP-2-treated femurs at 2 and 3 weeks, while control bones showed just soft cartilaginous calluses. Similarly, rhBMP-2 rats had hard callus and recorticalization by 4 weeks, whereas control bones showed only cartilage or soft tissue.

"If these findings can be translated into clinical applications, the impact of such an advance could be substantial," Einhorn et al postulate.

"Not only might this technology obviate the need for harvesting autologous bone in certain settings in which bone graft is now needed, but the availability and ease of administration of an injectable bone-inductive compound could be used to shorten the time to healing and restore fracture in patients in whom normal fracture is anticipated."

3. Interesting Findings: A Forgiving Nature Keeps Blood Pressure Down

Learning to forgive more easily could help lower blood pressure, researchers have found.

They asked almost 100 people from different neighborhoods in Michigan to complete a questionnaire on forgiveness, and at the same time measured blood pressure, pulse, and saliva levels of the stress hormone cortisol in the group.

Dr. Loren Toussaint, from Idaho State University in Pocatello, and colleagues found that the higher the overall forgiveness score, the lower the bottom "diastolic" blood pressure reading. This connection was mainly due to high levels of forgiveness towards oneself and others.

In African American participants, a high total forgiveness score, and a high degree of forgiveness of others was significantly linked with both a lower diastolic blood pressure, and lower levels of cortisol.

The study suggests that being able to forgive oneself and others could lower both blood pressure and stress levels, although the researchers say that the way in which forgiveness interacts with the body's functions remains "complex."
