1. Share Success: Letters From Readers

I have been a faithful reader of your newsletter for the past 6 months. It's truly a great experience to read letters from my fellow sufferers and to learn from their success with EZorb. Thank you for providing this free service. And I hope that people will find the same benefit in my experience. So here it goes.

For the greater part of my adulthood, I have suffered the effects of osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. During the past five years, the condition has gradually worsened, affecting my hands, feet, shoulders and lower back.

Because of my condition, I have developed scoliosis of the spine and have made several visits to medical specialists in an endeavour to obtain some relief from my constant pain. On medical advice, I have been taking strong painkillers and anti-inflammatory preparations. These have provided me with some pain relief, but unfortunately their constant use has left me with severe stomach disorders.

In Australia we don't have immediate access to new treatment that many of you Americans take for granted. Luckily My husband came across EZorb when he was surfing the Internet for new treatment on fibromyalgia. After repeatedly reading and digesting all the information available at your website we were fully committed to give it a try.

Commencing in October 2003, I began taking the capsules, 4 at a time, three times daily - a total of 12 per day. Within three weeks, I noticed that I was suffering less severe pain and discomfort, and so was becoming less reliant on painkilling preparations, and at times noticing an almost complete absence of pain. I also noticed that I fell asleep quicker and deeper, something I had not been able to do for many years.

Christmas of 2003, I travelled to my brother's home by public transport - a journey occupying about 11 hours, and almost constantly sitting in the one position on coach and train. I am pleased to report that, although I experienced some discomfort, it was nowhere as severe as I had anticipated.

No doubt, intake of your product was instrumental in making my journey much more comfortable.

The first three months, I had maintained a dosage of 12 capsules per day. Starting in January of this year, I lowered my intake to 8 per day, to see how I would cope. Despite the lowered dosage, my condition kept improving.

Last month (February 2004), I again lowered the dosage to 6 capsules per day, and have maintained that quantity up until the present. The constant pain I had experienced prior to taking EZorb has almost gone, allowing me much more freedom of movement.

I have only been on EZorb for less than six months and have already seen so much improvement. I am now a regular client of EZorb. I intend to remain as such, and have no hesitation in recommending it to my fellow sufferers. I can positively say now that my original scepticism has been replaced by gratitude. This product has assisted me to lead a more active lifestyle.

2. Interesting Reading: Heart Disease Risk Linked To Cold Weather and Family Income At Birth

Study results suggest that babies born during cold spells may have an increased risk of developing heart disease in later life.

Dr Richard Mitchell, from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, and colleagues found that people born during colder months into poor families had a greater tendency to store energy as fat than summer babies or those from more affluent backgrounds.

"Our findings have some consistency with the theory that exposure to cold temperatures around the time of birth leads to increased fat storage and insulin resistance, and hence to coronary heart disease in later life," the researchers write in the journal Heart.

The team assessed 4286 postmenopausal women from 23 British towns and found that those born during the winter were more likely to have coronary heart disease and insulin resistance, as well as increased cholesterol levels and poorer lung function, than those born at any other time of year.

This increased risk was lost after adjusting for outdoor temperature at the time of birth, suggesting that temperature, and not food scarcity, is the most important factor.

Further analysis revealed that the association was strongest for people whose fathers were either unemployed or making minimum wages during the participants' childhood. There was no such association found in individuals with wealthier fathers.

"These findings help to strengthen our emerging understanding of how inequality in socioeconomic characteristics can interact with a 'natural' inequality in the physical environment to generate and exacerbate health inequalities," the researchers say.

Commenting on the findings, however, Dr Tim Bowker, associate medical director of the British Heart Foundation, added: "It is highly unlikely that low temperatures at birth could be considered a significant risk factor for coronary heart disease when compared to the well known risk factors such as smoking, low physical activity, unhealthy diet and high blood pressure."
